Swati Maliwal Case

Chief Minister Kejriwal’s PA Vibhav Kumar’s bail plea in Swati Maliwal case has been rejected. He did not get relief from Tis Hazari Court. Delhi Police has said in its remand report that Vibhav is not cooperating in the investigation. NCW has appealed to investigate the CM’s phone call.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal has once again raised serious questions on her own party. Swati Maliwal has said that through her, an attempt is being made to give a message to other party leaders that raising voice against any wrongdoing will have serious consequences. In an interview to Times of India, Swati Maliwal said that initially when she had alleged that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s PA Bibhav Kumar had badly assaulted her, the party had shown sympathy. But it was also said that if he filed any complaint, they would declare him an agent of BJP and prove him a liar.

Swati Maliwal said that I think Sanjay Singh tried to help me and wanted justice to be done but when there is an order from above to attack my character, what can one do. On the question related to Bibhav Kumar, Swati Maliwal said that if someone beats someone, there would definitely be some reason for it. The police will have to investigate to find out why this happened and on whose instructions it happened.

Tis Hazari court of Delhi has rejected the bail plea of Vibhav Kumar in Swati Maliwal case. The court gave this decision on Monday (May 27). Vibhav Kumar will now approach the High Court. Vibhav Kumar will challenge the lower court’s decision in the Delhi High Court.

Swati Maliwal had accused Vibhav Kumar of attacking the Chief Minister’s residence on May 13. After this the police registered an FIR and arrested him on 18 May. Vibhav Kumar has also accused Maliwal of implicating him in a false case. He has given a complaint to the police in this regard.

Earlier, after the hearing, the court had reserved its decision. The court had said that it would give its decision at four o’clock. Vibhav Kumar was sent to judicial custody for four days on 24 May.

Vibhav Kumar will remain in judicial custody till May 28. While Swati Maliwal has accused Vibhav Kumar of assault, Vibhav Kumar complained to the police that the AAP MP had entered the CM residence without permission. Vibhav alleges that Maliwal ignored the words of the CM residence staff and when the staff tried to stop him, he threatened to lose his job.

Maliwal said, ‘When I was in the drawing room, which is away from the main entrance, the security personnel would not have heard the noise. Only people inside the house would have heard. Before the incident, the staff had told me that the CM was inside and would come after some time. But when I was writhing in pain and asking for help, no one came. Why no one listened to me is a matter of investigation. Maliwal said that she will not give clean chit to the CM. This incident happened when I was inside his house, when he was at home and the kind of pain and embarrassment I have had to endure is huge.

CM is roaming with the accused. An attempt is being made to present Bibhav as the hero and me as the villain. So how can I give a clean chit to anyone? Noting that the CM was saying that there are two sides to a story, Swati Maliwal asked what was the other side of the story. I have forcibly entered the CM residence. How could someone do this, and there must be some footage. When there was chaos in the party, you were missing from the scene. Swati Maliwal said that she was in America for a Harvard conference and then went to meet her sister who was ill. I stayed with them for 15 days and came back. If this is the reason (for the incident), then it is quite shameful. Swati said, ‘There is another MP who returned just two days ago, whereas I came two months ago. However, he got the red carpet treatment and was made to sit on the stage while I was beaten.
